You Are Not Your Newsfeed
If your day starts with headlines and ends in anxiety, it’s time to take your power back.
We’re more connected than ever—and more overwhelmed than ever.
Endless scrolling. Updates. Alerts. Opinions. Outrage.
It’s no wonder we feel frayed at the edges.
Many people tell me they don’t even notice how tense they’ve become until they stop. Their mind races, their shoulders are tight, and their peace of mind has been quietly hijacked.
But here's the good news: we can take it back.
🔌 Disconnect to reconnect
You don’t need to quit your phone. But you can choose when and how it gets your attention.
Try this:
- No news before breakfast.
- A “scroll cut-off” after 8pm.
- A ‘digital detox’ hour once a day—even if it’s just while you walk, cook, or have your cuppa.
The world won’t fall apart if you take a break. But you might just fall back together.
🧭 Choose what feeds you
Ask yourself:
- Does this content make me feel anxious, angry, or inferior?
- Is it helping me grow—or pulling me into someone else’s drama?
- What could I do with the energy I’m spending on this?
That’s not detachment. That’s discernment. You’re allowed to choose peace over panic.
✨ Create space for stillness
A quiet mind isn’t empty—it’s alive.
When you stop being bombarded, something beautiful happens: you begin to hear yourself again. Your needs. Your values. Your direction.
That’s where clarity begins.
You are not your feed. You are not the fear it feeds on.
You are allowed to unplug, breathe, and come home to yourself.
